Compact Course Chemical Recycling: Waste Gasification
COURSE DESCRIPTION
The compact course “Chemical Recycling: Waste Gasification” is a training course targeted at professionals who are
looking to obtain an overview of chemical recycling processes, in particularly waste gasification.
Participants will be introduced to the fundamentals of gasification processes as well as different feedstock materials
for gasification and typical methods to characterize their properties. An overview of chemical recycling principles will
provide participants with an understanding of general chemical recycling pathways – in particularly waste gasification –
and associated representative technologies, in addition to specific indicators and parameters for their deployment.
Participants will also obtain an overview of integration possibilities for waste gasification into existing chemical
production value chains, and the corresponding ecological impacts compared to convention production routes.
TARGET GROUP
The course targets engineering, technical, management and R&D personnel who are interested in obtaining a general
overview, first insights and/or to extend their knowledge on chemical recycling technologies involving gasification, and
to understand their strengths and limitations as well as opportunities and challenges associated with their
implementation.
