Three exciting technical tours for the 12th IFC in Shanghai, China confirmed!

Before the 12^th International Freiberg Conference on Circular Carbon Technologies (12^th IFC) which will take place from 23-26 September 2024 at the JW Marriot Hotel Shanghai, conference participants will have the chance to take part in exciting (optional) technical tours to world-scale chemical sites and engage specialists and experts personally to find out more about the latest developments in China. The three technical tours are:

• Thursday and Friday 19^th – 20^th September: Technical Tour NINGXIA will visit the world’s largest Coal-to-Liquids (CtL) facility and enable participants to gain first-hand experience of the state-of-the art of Coal-to-X production in China.
• Saturday 21^st September: Technical Tour TENGZHOU will visit the demonstration plants of the OMB gasification technology and a pilot-scale waste gasification facility to enable insights into the latest developments in China’s efforts to reduce the carbon footprint of its chemical sector.
• Monday 23rd September: the Technical Tour SHANGHAI will visit the Institute of Clean Coal Technology (ICCT) campus in the East China University of Science and Technology (ECUST) for an introduction to ICCT’s R&D activities and site visit to their laboratory and bench-scale facilities.
